Key Details:

  • Title: Youth Engagement Program Manager
  • Pay: $68,303 – $77,222 per year based on experience
  • Schedule: Full-time; Monday – Friday; flexible hours
  • Location: Onsite at Gresham Barlow School District (GBSD) locations – Portland, OR

Who You Are: You are a visionary leader with a passion for youth development and community engagement. Your exceptional communication skills and ability to build meaningful relationships make you a trusted advocate for change. You thrive in collaborative environments and excel at strategic planning and program management.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a health or education field, and three (3) years of related experience (or equivalent training and experience)
  • Experience facilitating group projects and planning processes
  • Strong interest in working with youth in a high school setting
  • Passion for working with diverse, marginalized communities
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Knowledge of health education and youth-adult partnership program management
  • Proficiency in program evaluation and data analysis
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and vehicle with the ability to drive to multiple sites
  • Ability to pass a background check

Your Role: as a Youth Engagement Program Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in promoting our Student Health Center Program and fostering youth-led projects. Your duties will include:

Student Health Center Program:

  • Coach and mentor high school students
  • Improve utilization of GBSD student health centers through innovative outreach and promotion
  • Serve as a liaison between youth, school staff, and Wallace’s student health team
  • Develop health center-related projects and initiatives using evidenced-based planning processes
  • consultation to develop and support youth-adult partnership best practices

Workforce/Pipeline Partnerships:

  • Build relationships and program development processes with education and community partners
  • Assist in building the strategic direction of community partnerships aimed at building the local health professions workforce

Wallace Team Member:

  • Represent Wallace when working with students, the community, and external organizations
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all staff in all departments
  • Other duties as assigned
