NWHS is seeking an energetic, highly competent Care Team Medical Assistant to provide team-oriented medical care to underserved patients at our West Salem Clinic in Salem, Oregon. This position is full time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday day shift with rotating Saturday shifts.
YOUR ROLE AT NWHS
As an active member of the care team, you are primarily responsible for assisting patients throughout the routine office visit and helping their assigned patient panel with health management. In this role, you will contribute to maintaining the patient’s health record through careful, accurate, and complete performance of tasks and documentation of elements under their responsibility. Responsibilities include embracing the Patient Centered Primary Care Home (PCPCH) model by keeping the patient at the focus and center of their care. This model is achieved by helping the patient to navigate the flow and care of services during the routine office visit, facilitating communication between multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive medical and mental health services.

The ideal candidate will possess at least one year of experience in a medical clinic.
Must have formal training/education in a Medical Assistant program that includes coursework in pharmacology/administration of medications.
Must have knowledge & ability to perform patient care duties, ability to work a rotating schedule and have a current CPR/BLS card.
Must be certified in field of work or be able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
