Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain accurate records by verifying and posting account transactions, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. Assist with payroll operations in collaboration with the HR Officer. Monitor financial aspects of multiple programs across disciplines and locations. Perform monthly and annual general ledger closings, balancing system reports to assure system completeness. Assist in the preparation of external and internal financial reports. Perform analysis as needed on financial and departmental balances Assist with budgeting and reporting by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data. Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting internal audits and providing information to external auditors. Work closely with billing staff and service providers to ensure proper coding and billing for maximum revenue capture. Assist in the management of federal grants and other grant finances. Collaborate on the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures - while also enforcing policies, procedures, and controls Qualifications: Degree in business, finance, or accounting. Health care experience desired but not required. Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Must be dependable, well organized, and have strong communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in review of financial data. Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Must have a detailed understanding of accounting principles, including wage and hour laws. Must be competent in running various financial computer software programs. Experience in the following areas are desirable: completing routine and special federal grant financial reports; financial reports for external auditors; nonprofit accounting. Leadership and Supervision: Reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
