Who You Are: We are looking for someone who thrives in a team environment and who is passionate about serving their community. The technical requirements for this position are: - Minimum of bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Equivalent training, continuing education, and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree - Three (3) years’ experience in outpatient quality improvement, project management or other relevant experience - CPHQ or equivalent certification - Three (3) or more years of experience in a clinical role (e.g., RN, LPN, Certified Medical Assistant) - Two (2) years of experience with HEDIS, CCO or other quality measurement framework - Experience in quality management principles, tools, and techniques - Demonstrated experience in program planning, development, and evaluation - Experience participating on multi-disciplinary work groups - Experience with survey research methods - Excellent communication skills - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel - Able to work both independently and as a member of a team - Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with people of diverse ethnic, social, economic, and cultural backgrounds - Excellent organizational and prioritization skills - Ability to successfully work independently - Proven ability to use critical thinking skills with attention to detail - Ability to quickly adapt to new technology and software, including Electronic Health Record systems - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, talk and listen and must regularly stand and walk - The employee may occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. - Ability to complete a pre-employment background check specific to the position applied for Wallace is an Equal Opportunity Employer. As an equal opportunity employer, we stay true to our mission by ensuring that we are all "together in health.” What You’ll Do: The Clinical Quality Manager is responsible for supporting the clinic in meeting its external and internal quality improvement goals. These goals may be related to federal and state reporting requirements, grants and/or internal needs of the clinic. The Clinical Quality Manager also plays a vital role in Wallace’s Population Health and Quarterly Improvement Strategy. Day-to-day duties include: - Manages a variety of quality improvement projects, both external and internal, through all stages of the project, coordinating with Wallace staff and outside organizations to ensure Wallace is meeting its obligations - Works with the CMO, Assistant Medical Director and Data & Quality Manager to prioritize resources and plan QI efforts - Monitors key performance indicators and works with Wallace staff to design, create, and implement resulting improvement projects and initiatives - Uses industry standard performance improvement models to initiate and support projects in the domains of clinical quality, patient satisfaction, safety, and utilization - Conducts effectiveness evaluations on QI program strategies, using data to identify opportunities for continued enhancements - Assures that policies and standard operating procedures are comprehensive, and implemented in compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards - Coordinates Wallace’s Quality Improvement committee activities - Assists the Data and Quality Manager in tracking external and internal data and quality needs and ensuring that those needs are met in a timely and complete manner - Acts as a resource to clinic staff to answer questions, review and explain documentation, workflows and other metric details - Works collaboratively with partner organizations to meet shared goals - Performs safe work practices to protect the health and safety of employees and patients per OSHA regulation - Protects individually identifiable health information per HIPAA regulations - Completes all required compliance training within established timelines - Other duties as assigned - The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, similar to that of a busy office |
