QUALIFICATIONS:

1.    Bachelor’s degree in a work-related field or discipline from an accredited college or university.

2.    Demonstrated course work in data analysis, relational database, statistics, or other related areas.

3.    Knowledge of and experience with databases, SQL, Business Intelligence tools, and other statistical and reporting platforms.

4.    Knowledge and experience of working with healthcare data preferred.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Understand and able to use all types of company data (utilizations, claims, operational, and clinical quality).

2.    Build the most appropriate form of product delivery, assuring best quality, and transparency of process.

3.    Assure the best solution is built for data reporting and business intelligence needs based on the project.

4.    Meet reporting deadlines to multiple stakeholders.

5.    Assist staff in clarifying the business need of the product to assure full understanding of the needs.

6.    Use knowledge of data and analytics to proactively contribute to business intelligence design process.

7.    Proactively seek business intelligence solutions and enhancements.

8.    Use available tools and recommend new tools to summarize data and present and/or submit final analysis (e.g. written summaries, charts, business intelligence products).

9.    Document the report process and logic in a manner consistent with the scope of the project.

10.  Assist with meeting quality measures by completing tasks related to VFHC initiatives.

11.  Travel among different locations of Valley Family and local partners as needed.  Possible overnight travel for meetings and conferences outside of Valley Family.

12.  Perform other duties as assigned.

1.    Understanding of data modeling.

2.    Able to perform statistical analysis.

3.    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

4.    Excellent analytical, problem solving and technical skills.

5.    Able to manage multiple projects with aggressive timelines.

6.    Able to develop report specifications.

Physical Requirements:

1.    Must be able to lift up to 25-40 lbs.

2.    Continuous sitting and/or standing.

3.    Normal manual dexterity.

4.    Correctable vision and hearing.

5.    Must be able to read, write and speak clearly.

6.    Local and overnight travel may occur, as needed.
