Opportunity

The Dental Assistant (DA) is an integral member of the dental team. The role supports the delivery of dental care by preparing rooms, patients and instruments. Dental Assistants provide direct care to patients and assistance to Dentists. A team-based approach is necessary with a willingness to work effectively and collaboratively with others.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all dental assistant procedures allowable under Oregon State Law.
  • Prepares patient, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, prepares materials, and assists Dentist during dental procedure.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Maintains the standard use of materials whenever possible at all clinic sites.

 

Skills & Knowledge

Must be able to maintain a sympathetic and harmonious relationship with patients of various cultural backgrounds. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills preferred.
