About the Position
Join our team as the Medical Director at the Community Health Centers of Lane County (CHCLC), a leading Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to our diverse community. As the Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the quality of primary care services through collaboration while promoting a culture of compassionate, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and oversight to a team of dedicated primary care providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and pharmacists. Participate as co-leader for high-functioning leadership team.
- Quality Improvement: Collaboratively lead initiatives to improve clinical quality, patient safety, and outcomes through evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Clinical Guidelines: Develop and implement clinical guidelines, protocols, policies and procedures, and best practices to ensure high-quality care delivery consistent with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provider Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and supportive environment among healthcare providers, the leadership team, partner divisions of Health and Human Services, encouraging teamwork, professional growth, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Patient Care: Maintain a limited clinical practice (10%) to stay connected with patient care needs and to serve as a role model for evidence-based, patient-centered care.
- Community Engagement: Engage with the local community and stakeholders to understand healthcare needs, advocate for underserved populations, and promote health equity initiatives.
- Education and Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to medical staff and other healthcare professionals to promote continuous learning and professional development.
About the Division
The Community Health Centers of Lane County (CHCLC) is a dynamic, growing organization that has been providing comprehensive primary care and behavioral health services to the citizens of Lane County since 2004. We operate seven primary care clinics in which we provide a broad array of services to adults and children. We also provide preventative dental services to children in schools, Head Start, and WIC locations throughout Lane County. CHCLC provides services to approximately 30,000 individuals each year and is a primary source of care for uninsured and underinsured individuals.
Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm

QUALIFICATIONS
Training & Experience:
- Graduation from an approved school of medicine with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Possession of a State of Oregon medical license at the time of appointment.
- Possession of a Drug Enforcement Agency number at the time of appointment.
- Five years of responsible experience in medical care, including three years of experience in a supervisory, management, or leadership role; or a combination sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
